"you built up a world of magic, because your real life is tragic." (music post)

I've been obsessively listening to this cover/mash-up of "Airplanes" and "Brick By Boring Brick" that my sister posted to Facebook last week. I bought it on iTunes. It's basically phenomenal.

i'm a ex-scrapbooker...

...can you tell?

These are all prior to glue-down...

And the finished product...

Viola!
The pictures are all from extra copies of Teen Vogue and Delia's, Alloy, and Urban Outfitter's catalogs. My favorite part, though, is the picture from South Pacific on the front. Definitely my best binder cover ever.

what i wore: sunday.

This is actually a lot more like, "What I Wore (In Theory)." I did wear the skirt, but nixed the top in favor of something... darker? Like, color-wise, at least.

I took the pictures last night, either out of boredom or sheer desire to fool myself into thinking that I was accomplishing something.

top, forever 21; skirt, plastic island; necklace, ann taylor loft; bracelet, charlotte russe; shoes, deena & ozzy; bag, salvatore ferragamo.

The top is probably one of my favorite buys from the back-to-school shopping outing we did in Oregon (hooray for no tax!). It's a tan/cream-ish color with printed bows all over, with kind of a cropped length. I can't wait to wear it this week. LOVE!

 Have a good day!

(funny) pictures.

I'm always saving pictures to various folders on my laptop and, occasionally, on the big computer. It's kind of a nasty habit that I just can't really seem to break; if I see something I like or that speaks to me... right click, save photo, done.

Be forewarned: you should laugh, if only just a little bit.
Makes me laugh every time. And I can make fun of Seattle because I live just outside of it.
Words can't even describe how wonderful this is. It's kind of awesome and funny at the same time, in a way that's not really funny at all, you know?
I posted this on my friend's Facebook wall because she loves Harry Potter (she tried to start a Harry Potter club at our school a few years ago) and she loves Ke$ha, despite the initial trashiness that just comes from Ke$ha being Ke$ha.
Clearly the most awesome photo ever. I really want to put this on the cover of one of my notebooks.
This is how I laughed when I read this: "Ha. Haha. Hahaha. Hahahaha. I get it."

I really ought to stop being so involved in after-school activities... I have drama auditions after school today. (Is it that time already?!) Wish me luck!

second day of school blues.

It is my contention that what you wear on the second day of school is even more important than what you wear on the first. But maybe that's just me.

I saw these guys preform on Oprah forever and a half ago and decided I was in love with them. My mom used to like this group called "Il Divo," or something like that, and they guys kind of remind me of them, except that they're Canadian and not ridiculous old. Oh, and fifty percent of them are hot.

"Hallelujah," the Canadian Tenors.

Have a good day!

trend alert! i heart my bag.

I've been meaning to post pictures forever. Seriously.

Lady-like bags and leopard print bags are probably my two favorite trends this season, for sure.

I don't have any pictures of the inside, but it's lined in this super soft black leather!

I got it for $25 at a garage sale just down the street from my house. For the most part, I'm a trusting person, and if it looks legit, I'm going to assume it's real. But, even if it's not, I still paid a relatively low price for a really sturdy bag. So it was a good buy... You know, even if I apparently owe my dad four car washes (inside and out!) for buying it for me.

Today was my first day back to school! Expect to see some cute outfit posts up soon!
